Steph's 38 points in Warriors' win light up NBA Twitter

Steph Curry and the Warriors came back from a 22-point hole against the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday. Curry put on a show from behind the 3-point line, going 64 percent from deep.

Another Warriors game, another stellar Steph Curry performance.

Curry's game-high 38 points and 11 assists propelled Golden State to a gutsy 115-105 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night at Chase Center. Most impressively, 27 points came from distance -- despite the six-time All-Star often being double- and triple-teamed. Curry went 9-of-14 from 3-point range (64 percent), turning in his 50th career game with eight or more 3-pointers.

The result was a resilient effort for the Warriors, who cut the Clippers' 22-point lead to six in the third quarter. Golden State's surge stunned LA, with the Warriors outscoring the Clippers 52-20 in the final 15 minutes.

That charge was led by none other than Curry (of course) and per usual, Twitter had plenty to say about it.

Andre Iguodala won three NBA championships with Curry, but that hasn't stopped the 17-year veteran from remaining impressed by his former teammate.

ESPN's Stephen A. Smith noted Curry is "special," but come on, we've all known that.

And Curry's sister, Sydel Curry-Lee, said pretty much all that needed to be said.

The Warriors erased a 20-point deficit at the hands of Curry, as the Clippers just couldn't figure out how to contain him, no matter how many defenders were put on him.

Naturally, with the game coming down to the wire, Curry deflated any chance of hope for the Clippers. He closed the game out with a step-back 3-ball, cementing the win for Golden State.

After the contest, he stood as one of the top trending topics on Twitter, with various highlights showcased throughout major sports media accounts.

As for the Warriors though, they'll obviously hope Curry can keep cooking. After all, the team is 5-0 in games where he has scored 30 points or more.
