Klay Thompson wasn't able to be out on the court with his teammates for Kast's final game, but still sent well-wishes Kast's way on social media.
Kast told The New York Times that a combination of COVID-19 protocols and his wife's health led him to decide now is the time to step away.
He'll still be able to watch all the games from home, and at least the team not only gave him a win on his final shift, but an incredible and touching postgame moment.
