The internet obviously had a lot of fun with the moment and speculation about the Greek Freak's future was rampant.

So Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports tried to get to the bottom of what the three-time NBA champion said to the 2018-19 NBA MVP, and relayed the following Thursday morning:

"I reached out to Steph via text, and he said, 'Look, all (I) was doing was giving Giannis (my) gamer tag for an online game called 'PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds.' He said he told Giannis, 'Come see me on this game. We can team up and do some damage. Let's do it, come on.'

"That's Stephen Curry. I'm just relaying the message. There you go."

Are you also laughing incessantly right now?

Apparently, even Curry had to chuckle at all the noise:

The "Giannis to the Warriors" chatter, of course, will die down in the coming days, but it surely will reignite in mid-March:

Consider yourself warned.
