Steph posts perfect caption on viral moment with son Canon

The highlight for Warriors fans everywhere of Wednesday's heartbreaking 117-116 loss to the Denver Nuggets might have happened before tip-off.

Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins received their All-Star jerseys before the game, and also were surprised by their kids, who adorably presented them All-Star rings.

Curry's 3-year-old son, Canon, stole the show as he continued to run around the court after the ceremony was over.

Steph acknowledged the priceless moment with an Instagram post on Thursday morning, where he captured the scene with a heartfelt -- and self-deprecating -- caption.

Curry's joke about Canon telling him not to forget the "strong side shooter" refers to the last play of Wednesday night's game, where Curry drifted too far away from Monte Morris, allowing the Nuggets guard to sink the game-winning 3-pointer as time expired.

Curry admitted blame for the defensive lapse, telling reporters after the game he "took the bait" in trying to double-team Nikola Jokic instead of sticking closer to Morris, his defensive assignment on the play.

"They ran a post-entry to get Jokic the world to figure out what he wanted to do," Curry explained after the loss. "I took the bait, made a dumb read. I was a step late thinking the clock had run down enough, thinking his only opportunity was to shoot and he made a great pass. Then I realized where I was and tried to make a play on the ball and contest the shot and Monte made a clutch bucket, and I gave it to him.
