Steph not listed on injury report for Warriors-Pistons game

The Warriors appear on track to get their "system" back for their game against the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night at Chase Center as Steph Curry has been removed from the NBA's official injury report, which was updated at 5:30 p.m. PT on Monday.

Curry missed the Warriors' loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday while dealing with right hand soreness. Rather than travel with the team to Minneapolis, Curry returned to the Bay Area to undergo further examination from the team's medical staff.

Curry fell on his right hand during the second quarter of the Warriors' win over the Chicago Bulls on Friday night at United Center. He was in considerable pain immediately after falling to the floor, but he stayed in the game and even played after the halftime break.

After the game against the Bulls, Curry said his hand hurt but that he was confident he avoided a major injury. He did admit to having PTSD related to the broken left hand he sustained early in the 2019-20 season that forced him to miss most of the campaign.

In addition to the update on Curry, the Warriors also upgraded Gary Payton II to questionable for Tuesday's game. The versatile wing has missed the last two games with back spasms.

Without Curry and forward Draymond Green, who is dealing calf tightness and a disc issue in his lower back, the Warriors struggled mightily against the Timberwolves. Hopefully for Golden State, the return of the NBA MVP frontrunner Tuesday night gives them the boost they need to take down the rebuilding Pistons.
