Oh, how quickly greatness can be forgotten.
Entering last season, 90 percent of NBA general managers voted Steph Curry as the best point guard in the NBA. Curry played in just five games last season due to a broken hand, and that apparently made a lot of NBA executives forget how great the Warriors superstar is.
In a survey conducted by NBA.com, Curry still was voted as the best point guard in the NBA but he topped out at 30 percent of the vote. Curry beat out Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard, who was voted No. 2 at 22 percent.

While Lillard didn't pass Curry in that category, he did eclipse him in another.
Last year, Curry (44 percent) was voted as the player GMs would most want to take a shot with the game on the line. Lillard now holds that honor, earning 32 percent of the vote to Curry's 25.

Now fully healthy, Curry will have a great chance to remind everyone of his unquestioned greatness. Without Klay Thompson, who will miss the season due to a torn Achilles, Curry will have to carry a heavy offensive load for the new-look Warriors.
