Steph, Lacob scouting during Duke-Arkansas Elite Eight game?

Steph Curry was back at Chase Center on Saturday for the NCAA Tournament and he had a high-profile friend with him.

Warriors CEO Joe Lacob was sitting next to Curry during Duke's Elite Eight win over Arkansas. Curry's kids also were with him.

Curry was in attendance Thursday for the two Sweet 16 games at the Warriors' home arena.

Curry is able to attend the March Madness contests because he isn't traveling with the Warriors due to a sprained ligament in his left foot. He is scheduled to be re-evaluated by team doctors next weekend.

While Curry and Lacob very likely were there just to watch basketball, they also could have been scouting potential 2022 draft picks. Duke has two players -- forward Wendell Moore and guard Trevor Keels -- that the Warriors could target with their first-round draft pick this summer.

Entering Saturday's action, the Warriors currently would have the No. 28 overall pick in the first round, per Tankathon.com. Moore is projected to go five spots earlier, while Keels is projected to be an early second-round pick.

The Warriors also possess a second-round draft pick -- currently projected to be No. 58 -- and Tankathon.com has Golden State selecting Arkansas forward Jaylin Williams.

If the Warriors draft any of the prospects who played at Chase Center this week, Curry's scouting report might have played a part in the selection.
