It's been nine months since we've seen Steph Curry on an NBA court, and the wait ends Saturday night when the Warriors open the 2020 preseason schedule against the Denver Nuggets at Chase Center in San Francisco.
Before Curry could head to the arena to get ready for the game, he posted a video to his Instagram Story showing how hyped he is for the start of his 12th NBA season.
Curry also showed off the pregame meal his wife Ayesha prepared for him, and a note from his family was visible.

"Stay out of you head, let go, let God and know that we're cheering you on from the couch here at home. We LOVE you so much! Have a great game. I'll be watching, rooting and praying for you." Ayesha wrote.
Ayesha signed the note with "Ishiboo (+ kids)."
Warriors fans have waited patiently to once again watch Curry bomb away from 3-point range and dazzle with his handles.

Year 11 didn't go the way Curry had hoped. In the Warriors' fourth game of the 2019-20 season, he broke his left hand and suffered nerve damage. He missed more than four month before returning in March and then played in just one game. The combination of the flu and the coronavirus shutdown cut his comeback short, limiting the two-time NBA MVP to just five games last season.
Healthy and well-rested, Curry is out to prove the doubters wrong this season. He won't have his Splash Brother, Klay Thompson, by his side as the five-time NBA All-Star tore his right Achilles on Nov. 18 and is expected to miss the entire 2020-21 NBA season.
But president/general manager Bob Myers added Kelly Oubre Jr. in a trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder and drafted James Wiseman with the No. 2 overall pick. Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins put in the work this offseason and expect to have bounce-back years.

So while Curry won't have his No. 1 running mate by his side, he has a solid supporting cast to help him guide the Warriors back into NBA title contention.
Year 12 for Curry officially begins on Dec. 22 against Kevin Durant and Brooklyn Nets. But Saturday's preseason game is Curry's first chance to lace up his new Curry 8's and get back on an NBA court after a nine-month absence.
