Following his historic 50-point performance, including 16 drained 3-pointers, in the 2022 NBA All-Star Game, Warriors star Steph Curry said being named the game’s MVP was always on his bucket list.
Steph Curry added another trophy to his ever-growing mantle of hardware.
The Warriors' superstar was named All-Star Game MVP after a record-breaking performance Sunday night at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
Scoring 50 points and draining an All-Star Game record of 16 3-pointers, Curry took home The Kobe Bryant Trophy, which honors the late NBA legend and is awarded to the MVP of the All-Star Game.

Curry was honored to hoist the trophy after his incredible performance.
"It's pretty special, obviously being back in Ohio, playing with the best guys in the league and celebrating the highest level of basketball," Curry told NBA on TNT's Ernie Johnson. "Obviously, this trophy has a very special meaning, honoring Kobe, Gigi, everybody who was lost two years ago. Very humbled, very blessed and I really appreciate it."

Curry is the first winner of the award since it was named after Bryant. The trophy features a re-design that pays homage to the Lakers legend. It features an eight-sided base that represents eight decades of All-Star games as well as Bryant's jersey number. The trophy also features 24 stars on the lower level, representing the 24 players in the event as well as Bryant's other jersey number. Finally, 10 stars on the second level, representing the 10 All-Star starters on the court, as well as Bryant's Team USA jersey number.
From here on out the award will certainly be a special one for whichever player wins it.
