Draymond believes Steph, not LeBron, Jordan is NBA's GOAT

Draymond Green has a new pick in the greatest of all time conversation.

In an interview with ESPN's Nick Friedell after the Warriors' 123-116 Game 5 win over the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night at Golden 1 Center, the Warriors star explained how Curry has leapfrogged LeBron James and Michael Jordan as the greatest player of all time.

"It's way different," Green said regarding Curry's self-confidence. "But I think one of the most unique things about Steph is like -- we all argue like, 'Oh, is [Michael] Jordan the GOAT? Does LeBron [James] dethrone him? Whoever your guy is, who you think is the GOAT. Everyone debates it.

"There's no debate. [Steph] is the greatest. So that confidence runs different. But I think we all here in this world know, there's no debate. He's the greatest -- and that's a special thing."

Curry's confidence was key in helping the Warriors edge out a close win on the road to give Golden State a 3-2 series lead over Sacramento heading into Game 6.

As the clock ran down late in the fourth quarter, the reigning NBA Finals MVP ran circles around the Kings' defense, eventually getting a layup and the foul to extend Golden State's lead.

However, for Green to say Curry is the GOAT is somewhat surprising.

Kuminga's Warriors importance on display in win vs. Pelicans

What Draymond told LeVert after heated Kuminga exchange

Back in December, the 33-year-old placed James over Curry and Jordan in his list of the greatest players of all time, with Curry coming in fourth behind James, Jordan and the late Kobe Bryant and ahead of Shaquille O'Neal.

Considering how Curry is playing against the Kings in the Warriors' first-round NBA playoff series, it makes sense why Green is changing his tone.

Against De'Aaron Fox, Davion Mitchell and other Kings defenders, Curry is averaging 31.4 points, 4.6 assists and 4.4 rebounds shooting 48.7 percent from the field, 36.7 percent from 3-point land and 92.6 percent from the stripe.

Curry already is the greatest shooter in NBA history and arguably the greatest point guard to ever lace them up.

And for Green to acknowledge his teammate is the greatest of all time, especially after seeing what he's done throughout the years, just makes sense.
