Father Time who? How Steph's big night at age 34 made history

The Warriors got heroic performances from Steph Curry and Klay Thompson in a tough road win over the Rockets.

Steph Curry added his name to yet another historical NBA list on Sunday night with his impressive performance in the Warriors' 127-120 win over the Houston Rockets at Toyota Center.

In addition to sealing the win with a dagger three in the fourth quarter -- complete with his signature "night night" gesture -- Curry finished the night with a 33-point, 15-assist double-double as Golden State earned its first road victory of the 2022-23 NBA season.

Curry and the Warriors finally got the monkey off their back, and the 34-year-old showed no signs of slowing down while etching his name in the history books.

Curry's performance puts him behind only LeBron James on the list of oldest NBA players to record at least 30 points and 15 assists in a game. The Los Angeles Lakers star achieved the feat against the Dallas Mavericks on Nov. 1, 2019, pouring in 39 points and dishing 16 assists at 34 years and 314 days old.

Now in his 14th NBA season, Curry has made it known he has no plans of letting his age hinder him.

He's arguably playing some of the best basketball of his career to start the 2022-23 campaign, and he revealed to NBC Sports Bay Area during Warriors media day that he has even enlisted the help of NFL quarterback Tom Brady, who is 45 years old and still playing professionally, to stave off Father Time.

It's clear that whatever Curry is doing, be it his weight room routine or advice from other MVPs, his process is working.

And as Curry put the Rockets to bed on Sunday, he looked like the spriest player on the court.
