One of the problems with building a winning organization in the NBA is that the competition comes snooping around trying to woo the executives. The Warriors have lost several individuals through this process and may be losing another.
A source close to assistant general manager Larry Harris confirmed to NBC Sports Bay Area on Friday that he will interview with the New Orleans Pelicans for their general manager position.
The Pelicans reached out to the Warriors, who granted permission for Harris to accept the interview.

SIGN UP HERE Though Harris is largely responsible for the reunion between the Andrew Bogut and the Warriors – he went to Australia to scout the big man – he has spent most of March scouting conference tournaments and the NCAA Tournament.
Harris, 56, has been with the Warriors since 2008, first as an assistant coach for one season under Don Nelson before moving upstairs. He was promoted to his current position, which includes Director of Player Personnel, shortly after the 2014-15 season.

New Orleans dismissed general manager Dell Demps in February. He had served as GM for xxx seasons, during which the Pelicans’ final decisions were made by the front office of the New Orleans Saints. Both teams are under the ownership of Gayle Benson, the widow of longtime owner Tom Benson.
