A day later, Instagram user "hhhhytian" posted a drawing of Klay (H/T Reddit user u/sundaequeen) that was inspired by the first photo that Thompson posted.

Earlier this year, #KayakKlay was born when Thompson posted video of himself floating out in the San Francisco Bay.
Then, earlier this month, Thompson gave us #NerfKlay when he posted an ad for the toy.
Former Warriors guard Shaun Livingston joined the "Runnin' Plays" podcast in September, and spoke to hosts Kerith Burke and Grant Liffmann about what makes Thompson such a great teammate. Naturally, #ChinaKlay came up.
"That he is that free spirit," Livingston -- now the Warriors' director, players affairs and engagement -- said. "He's not judgmental, you can tell him anything. And then some of the things that he might say or do, you're just like, 'What?' And then you're like, 'Oh. He's a free spirit. OK. I get it.'
"The 'China Klay' (thing) -- that's amazing. I never would have pictured that. But, you see it, and you're like, 'That's Klay.' "
