One thing Warriors' Eric Paschall wants to work on most before season

Warriors rookie Eric Paschall is a solid 3-point shooter.

The No. 41 overall pick in last week's NBA draft shot 34.8 percent from beyond the arc (70-for-201) during his senior season at Villanova.

But when it comes to the one thing in particular he wants to work on the most before the season begins in October?

"Definitely just adjusting to the [3-point] line," he said Monday afternoon on 95.7 The Game. "I feel like college kids now have an advantage because they already moved the line back, so they're pretty much shooting an NBA 3.

"I have a little more distance to get used to but definitely just that aspect -- getting used to the line."

For many years, the college 3-point line was 19 feet, 9 inches. The NCAA moved it back to 20 feet, 9 inches prior to the 2008-09 campaign. Starting next season, the line will be the same as it is in international basketball -- 22 feet, 1 3/4 inches.

The NBA distance is 22 feet in the corners and 23 feet, 9 inches everywhere else. So, it is definitely understandable to hear Paschall say he's focused on making that adjustment.

After all, the Warriors need all the shooting they can get and will be counting on the 22-year-old to space the floor.
