NBA will honor, refund tickets for games postponed due to coronavirus

NBA commissioner Adam Silver announced Thursday that he expects the NBA's hiatus due to the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) to last at least 30 days. Whether or not it takes longer than that, he has a message for current ticket-holders.

Your already-purchased tickets haven't lost their value.

"As we develop the appropriate course for future NBA games and events, we will keep you informed of any changes as soon as they happen," Silver wrote in a letter to NBA fans. "Tickets already purchased for a postponed game will be honored when the game is rescheduled. If games are not played or played in an empty arena, teams will work with fans on a credit for a future game or a refund."

So, there you have it.

Obviously, there are much bigger concerns right now. But, hopefully, Silver's message can provide ticket-holders with the least bit of certainty during a time where there is very little of it.
