Report: Bazemore agrees to one-year contract with Warriors

Kent Bazemore is back in the Bay.

Bazemore has agreed to a one-year contract with the Warriors, his agent, Austin Walton, told The Athletic's Shams Charania on Sunday.

The contract is worth $2.3 million, a source has told The Athletic's Anthony Slater.

Bazemore, 31, went undrafted out of Old Dominion, then signed with the Warriors and played his first season and a half as a pro with Golden State. The eight-year veteran wing has averaged 8.7 points per game in his career.

The left-handed shooting guard/small forward averaged 2.0 points per game as a rookie with the Warriors in the 2012-13 season. He then was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in February 2014. Bazemore averaged 8.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per game between the Portland Trail Blazers and Kings last season.

Bazemore likely will be a bench option who could get a lot of playing time for the Warriors. He shot 34.4 percent from 3-point range last season but is a 35.1 percent shooter from beyond the arc for his career.

This is a reunion that should be a win-win for both sides.
