NBA rumors: Andre Iguodala promises Steve Kerr he'll be ready for Game 5

Programming note: Watch the pregame edition of Warriors Outsiders on Wednesday night at 6, streaming live on the MyTeams app.

Andre Iguodala did not have his best game on Monday night.

The 35-year old went 3-for-9 from the field and was a team-worst minus-17 in the plus/minus in the Warriors' Game 4 loss to the Rockets in their second-round NBA playoff series.

To add injury to insult, Iguodala seemed to tweak his left knee in the closing seconds of the game.

But don't worry Warriors fans -- he should be good to go for Game 5. Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports has the details:

While hovering over the (postgame) buffet, coach Steve Kerr joined him in surveying the options and asked the 2015 Finals MVP how he was feeling. Iguodala bent down, briefly massaged his left knee and said it was a little sore, but he promised his coach that he would be fine for Game 5 on Wednesday.

The injury is believed to be minor, but the incident that led to it is being viewed quite differently. Members of the Warriors told Yahoo Sports that they believed it was “a dirty play” by Houston Rockets guard Chris Paul.

In the first three games of this series, Iguodala was a team-best plus-28 in the plus/minus over 107 minutes.

He's incredibly important and the Dubs need him to be healthy to advance past Houston and into the Western Conference Finals.
