Oracle Arena held its collective breath during Game 6 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night when Warriors star Klay Thompson injured his left knee.
Thompson landed awkwardly after Toronto Raptors guard Danny Green fouled him on a layup attempt, and he needed to be helped off the court. According to his agent, Thompson tore his left ACL on the play, but he still returned to make his two free throws.

After DeMarcus Cousins intentionally fouled Pascal Siakam on the ensuing inbound, Thompson begrudgingly checked out of the game and returned to the locker room. Then, in the fourth quarter, the Warriors announced the sharpshooter would not return.
Thompson later left the Warriors' locker room on crutches.
The 29-year-old -- who had not missed a playoff game before Game 3 of The Finals last week -- became "Game 6 Klay" again before his injury. Thompson scored 30 points on 8-of-12 shooting, including 4 of 6 3-pointers, pacing the Warriors before the injury in the third 30-point Game 6 of his career.
