With 36.1 seconds left in Game 6 of the Warriors' NBA playoff second-round series against the Rockets, Klay Thompson drilled a left wing 3-pointer to give Golden State a 110-104 lead.
As he headed back down the floor, he smiled and pointed both hands toward the crowd.

Yes, actually. Who? None other than Warriors owner Joe Lacob.
Lacob pointed back at Klay, who had basically just punched the Warriors' ticket to the Western Conference finals.
"We've had a few of those," Lacob told ESPN's Nick Friedell. "I have a special bond with him. I always have. He's the first player, since I bought the team, that we drafted. The very first one. And I just have always felt an incredible attachment.

"People make fun of me a little bit -- I always say I love Klay. I love Klay. I just do. He's so real. He's so real. There's no BS. And there's something about him, I have a very special relationship with him."
The feelings are reciprocated.
"I can feel his passion," Klay told ESPN. "We've been here before. And s--, he's more into it than most fans. You got to respect someone's passion like that, man. Especially ownership.
“You hear a lot of stories [around the league] about people not caring, but Joe's cared since Day 1, so it felt good to just have that moment with him because I know how much he cares for us to win and how much he wants to be successful."
And in order for the Warriors to be successful in the future, it's important to have players like Klay be part of the franchise.

The two-time All-NBA selection will be an unrestricted free agent in July, and his future with the Warriors has been in the headlines a lot as of late.
All reports indicate that Klay is a virtual lock to re-sign if Golden State offers him a max contract (estimated at about $190 million over five years), and it appears that offer will come his way.
So, did Klay point at Lacob to remind him that he’ll need to back up the Brinks truck in free agency?
"Nah," he told ESPN. "It was just living in the moment. That's all it was."
