Klay Thompson has chance to do something for first time in four years

Last Friday, Klay Thompson led the Warriors in scoring with 39 points against the Nuggets.

Last Sunday, the Warriors shooting guard paced the Warriors with 28 points against the Suns.

And on Wednesday in Houston, Klay was once again the Warriors' high-point man with 30 against the Rockets.

This means that on Saturday night in Oklahoma City, the five-time All-Star has the opportunity to lead the Warriors in scoring for the fourth straight game -- something he has not accomplished during the regular season since...

... the 2014-15 season, when he did it five games in a row:

-Jan. 19, 2015 vs Nuggets = 22 points
-Jan. 21, 2015 vs Rockets = 27 points
-Jan. 23, 2015 vs Kings = 52 points (37 points in the third quarter)
-Jan. 25, 2015 vs Celtics = 31 points
-Jan. 27, 2015 vs Bulls = 30 points

You may remember earlier this season when Klay led the Dubs in scoring in three straight games for the first time since the 2015-16 campaign when he registered 28 against the Lakers, 26 against the Spurs and 25 at the Suns.

He fell short of making it four in a row because he scored "only" 29 points against the Heat on Feb. 10 (what a slacker), while Kevin Durant racked up 39.

Speaking of Durant -- he will not play tonight against the Thunder, which in theory gives Klay a better chance of scoring more points than any other Warrior.

Klay did lead Golden State in scoring four games in a row more recently than the five-game stretch in January 2015, however, but it was during the playoffs (2016) when Steph Curry was sidelined because of a knee sprain:

-- Game 4 at Houston: 23 points
-- Game 5 against Houston: 27 points
-- Game 1 against Portland: 37 points
-- Game 2 against Portland: 27 points

But for the purposes of this article, we focused on the regular season. So just deal with it!
