Klay Thompson is preparing to play in front of a record-breaking crowd of nearly 64,000 NBA fans when the Warriors tip off against the San Antonio Spurs at the Alamodome on Friday night.
When asked if the Splash Bro was concerned about the huge arena affecting his depth perception when shooting the basketball, Thompson dialed up a quote from the basketball flick "Hoosiers."
"Pretty easy," Thompson said Friday when asked how hard it will be to adjust his eyes and shot. "Rim's still 10 feet, like Gene Hackman said. It's pretty simple."
Hackman, an award-winning actor, played the role of Norman Dale in "Hoosiers," a classic sports film about a high-school coach who takes over the boys basketball program in rural Hickory, Indiana.
When the Hickory Huskers improbably reach the state championship game at Butler Fieldhouse -- home to the Butler Bulldogs -- Hackman's character reminds his team that the dimensions of the basketball court are the same in the massive arena as they are at the tiny home gym in Hickory.
The Spurs are celebrating their 50-year anniversary as a franchise by hosting the Warriors at the Alamodome on Friday. It's the first time San Antonio has played there in 20 years. The Alamodome previously served as the Spurs' home arena from 1992 to 2002.

As of Thursday night, the Spurs sold 63,592 tickets for the game, breaking the NBA's single-game record of 62,046 when the Atlanta Hawks hosted Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls at the Georgia Dome on March 27, 1998.
Thompson, however, isn't worried about the big crowd. He'll be channeling his inner Hickory Husker and will follow Hackman's wise words in San Antonio.
