The Warriors were one of four teams kicking off the 2022-23 NBA season on Tuesday. As a result, all eyes around the league were on Golden State’s matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers.

A reporter asked Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard after practice on Wednesday whether he watched the Warriors’ 123-109 win over the Lakers at Chase Center, and the 31-year-old had an interesting response.
“I didn’t watch it,” Leonard said. “I don’t watch basketball like that anyway, so. Whoever we play, I’ll see the film, but I pretty much will not watch the games on TV.”
The Clippers will be opening up their 2022-23 season against the Lakers on Thursday and the Warriors likely will be standing in Leonard’s way of reaching another NBA Finals.

Nonetheless, despite having a reason to watch the matchup, the Clippers star instead would prefer to use his downtime to go to Game 1 of the NLCS between the Philadelphia Phillies and San Diego Padres.
Regardless, if the Warriors are going to win back-to-back NBA championships, the Clippers, with a healthy Leonard and Paul George, are picked by many experts to challenge Golden State in the Western Conference.
