The 26-year-old Oakland native made his first career NBA start Saturday night in Phoenix and he had a message for anyone who doubted him.

After going undrafted out of Marquette, Toscano-Anderson spent three seasons playing in Mexico. In 2018, he went to training camp with the G League Santa Cruz Warriors and was able to stick with Golden State's affiliate.
In 44 games with Santa Cruz last season, Toscano-Anderson averaged 7.0 points and 6.8 rebounds in 23.8 minutes.
This season, he improved on those numbers by averaging 12.5 points and 9.2 rebounds in 31 games with Santa Cruz.
Injuries and trades opened the door for Toscano-Anderson in San Francisco and he's making the most of his opportunity.

He entered Saturday's game against the Suns averaging 6.6 points and 3.9 rebounds in seven games. In his eighth career NBA game, he made his first career start and chipped in five points, four rebounds and three assists in 31 minutes. He played a big part in helping a depleted Warriors roster stun the Suns.
