After months of speculation, the Warriors have officially signed Jeremy Lin on Saturday, assigning the 32-year-old guard to their G League affiliate in Santa Cruz.
Golden State has long been linked to a possible reunion with Lin. Reports first circulated in October, and it appeared the two sides were close to reaching a G League deal in December, but that ultimately fell through.

SIGN UP HERE However, discussions between Lin and the Warriors began to heat up earlier in the week, and now the Bay Area native officially will be coming home.
Lin, who grew up in Palo Alto and made his NBA debut with the Warriors in 2010, will join Santa Cruz in Orlando, as the G League is slated to play in a bubble-style format similar to the one the NBA participated in last season.

After his iconic "Linsanity" run with the New York Knicks, Lin played for six other NBA organizations up until the 2019-2020 season, when he left to play overseas to play in the Chinese Basketball Association. He played in 39 games for the Beijing Ducks, averaging 22.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.6 steals per game.

Now, he'll look to continue his pursuit of returning to the NBA. Although there is no set format for the G League bubble, officials expect to start the league in a few weeks.
It won't be any small feat, as the Warriors' roster is loaded with young guards who will likely see the court long before Lin. However, anything is possible, and if Lin can utilize valuable time in the G League, an official reunion with his first organization isn't totally out of the cards.
