The grind never stops for three-time NBA champion Kevon Looney, even when he returned to his hometown of Milwaukee with the Larry O'Brien trophy.
The 26-year-old told NBC Sports Chicago that he hasn't had time to take in all he's accomplished and that he's an important cog in the Warriors dynasty because Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Warriors owner Joe Lacob are always thinking ahead.
"It's always the next season," Looney said. "We got guys like Steph and Draymond is always pushing, our owner who always wants to win, you can't really sit back and rest on your laurels.

"You gotta keep going on."
Looney added that after taking a few weeks off, he's back in the gym training and preparing for the 2022-23 NBA season. That said, when Looney talks to his family and those close to him, he recognizes how "blessed" he is and how much he's progressed over the years, even though there is still "so much" left to do.
An integral part of the Warriors' success, Looney's impact was best showcased during the 2022 NBA Playoffs. Although Looney didn't post gaudy numbers on a regular basis, his 22 rebounds in Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Memphis Grizzlies showed just how important he was in his role.
Even though he may not have the luxury of being able to soak in his present success, Looney notes that one day he's going to recognize all that he's done as part of Golden State's dynasty.

"I'm going to sit back and think about all the teams I've been on, all the great players I got to play with, all the great Oracle crowds, all the great Chase crowds I got to play in front of, and really sit back and just take it all in," Looney concluded.
