Finally! Lee's last-second 3 gives Warriors first win of season

Damion Lee played the role of hero Sunday night with a 3-pointer with 1.7 seconds left to give the Warriors a 129-128 win over the Bulls.

Everyone expected Steph Curry to take the final shot Sunday night.

Instead, it was his brother-in-law, Damion Lee, who played the role of the hero.

With the Warriors trailing by two points with five seconds remaining, Lee inbounded the ball to Kevon Looney, got the ball back and drained a 3-pointer from the top of the arc to give the Warriors a 129-128 lead.

A half-court heave at the buzzer by the Bulls was offline, giving the Warriors their first win of the season.

Lee finished with 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting. All four of his buckets came from behind the arc.

With the Warriors struggling from long distance this season, it's fitting that their first win came courtesy of a 3-pointer. As a team, they made 18 of their staggering 47 attempts Sunday.

Klay Thompson, who is rehabbing a torn Achilles, and former teammate Andre Iguodala both reacted on Twitter to Lee's game-winning shot.

Lee's wife, Sydel Curry-Lee, was so excited about her husband's shot that she said she was out of breath after running around their house.

The 1-2 Warriors now head to Detroit where they will wrap up their four-game road trip against the Pistons.

It will be a happy flight to Motown thanks to Lee.
