Former NBA big man Channing Frye is the latest to weigh in on the "Steph Curry vs. Damian Lillard" debate.
And let's just say that his opinion is not going to go over well in the Bay Area.
Frye did not explicitly say that Dame flat out is a better player than the two-time NBA MVP. But it's fair to come to the conclusion that is what he believes.

"I like Damian Lillard because he's done more with less than Steph," Frye said recently (recorded Aug. 21) on the "Load Management" podcast. "Steph is a Hall of Famer, is a multiple champion, best shooter of all time.
"But could Steph have done what Dame is doing in Portland with that crew over the last couple of years? I love that question. I ask it with no opinion because it's a 'what if?' "

Why does Frye love asking that? Even he acknowledged you can't actually answer the question, so then it's pointless right? Correct. It's truly silly and a waste of time.

It's also important to keep in mind that Frye played two seasons for the Blazers in 2007-08 and 2008-09, lives in the Portland area and played against the Warriors in the 2016 and 2017 NBA Finals.
He also said that Lillard and his squad would outlast the Los Angeles Lakers in seven games in their first-round NBA playoff matchup. The Lakers won the series in five games.
"I respect the s--t out of Steph. I respect the s--t out of him," Frye said. "I personally would want to play with Damian Lillard instead. That's just me."

You probably won't find a lot of people who agree with Mr. Frye, but that's OK.
Big picture, this perspective just is another example of why Curry forever will be underrated.
