The Rockets took two of the three matchups vs the Warriors this year (Andre Iguodala did not play in either of the losses) and just completed the best regular season in franchise history.

James Harden is the front-runner for MVP and Chris Paul had another outstanding season.
And if the two teams square off the in the Western Conference Finals, the Rockets will have homecourt.

Morey "said repeatedly the last couple of years that every waking moment was about finding a way to beat Golden State," Grizzlies GM Chris Wallace told the Chronicle. "We'll see where that goes in the playoffs, but it seems to me that he's clearly closed the gap."
The gap has absolutely been closed.
