Bob Myers explains how Klay Thompson practically ‘talks the injury out of existence'

In Game 4 against the Rockets, Klay Thompson had to leave for a little while because of a knee strain.

He fought through it and didn't miss a game.

In Game 1 against the Cavs, Klay suffered another injury scare, but returned to action and got treatment around the clock to make sure he was available for Game 2.

On Monday morning, Warriors GM Bob Myers shared a pretty funny story about Klay that will only add to his legend.

"His mind -- it's almost like he doesn't allow himself the option of not playing," Myers exlained on KNBR 680. "The whole time he keeps saying to himself, over and over again out loud, he goes, 'I'm playing, I'm playing. I'm not sitting out, I'm not sitting out.' And he's just talking to himself.

"It's almost like he talks the injury out of existence. It's unbelievable."

When Draymond Green saw Klay on Saturday, he thought there was no chance the four-time All-Star would suit up on Sunday.

"One of the toughest guys, if not the toughest guys I've ever played with," Draymond said after Game 2. "He'll never get credit for it because he's not gonna physically beat you up. But one of the toughest, if not the toughest guy, for sure."

Considering what Klay has been dealing with physically, this is pretty remarkable:
