Fresh off earning a starting spot on the NBA All-Star Team, Andrew Wiggins showed out vs. the Brooklyn Nets, scoring 24 points. He helped the Dubs secure a hard-fought 110-106 win.
At long last, Andrew Wiggins is an NBA All-Star.
The 26-year-old former No. 1 overall pick has had quite the rollercoaster career thus far. Drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2014, Wiggins was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves in his rookie season where he played for more than five campaigns before being sent to the Golden State Warriors midway through the 2019-20 season.
Since becoming a Warrior, Wiggins has silenced his previous doubters and has steadily progressed as a two-way player in each of his two-and-a-half seasons with Golden State. He was finally being chosen as an All-Star Game starter last week alongside teammate Steph Curry.

The All-Star Game honor appeared to have lit a fire in him, as now Wiggins is playing with even more confidence than he was earlier this season.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr joined 95.7 The Game's Damon & Ratto Wednesday evening where he discussed Wiggins' journey throughout his career and how his "quiet confidence" is showing up on the court.
"Yeah, he just won't shut up about how good he is," Steve Kerr joked when he was asked (jokingly) if the forward has become harder to coach now that he's an All-Star.
"Andrew is just the most humble, modest guy," Kerr added. "I do think though that being named a starter has infused him with more confidence than ever. He's looked so good since a week ago when he was named All-Star. He's shooting the lights out, he's playing with such ease and confidence and it's great to see. He's put all the work in, he's dealt with a lot of stuff over the years, a lot of stress, people calling him a 'bust' and all that stuff. He's just put his head down and worked and he's earned this. He's just playing lights out right now."

Wiggins' confidence is showing up on both ends of the court, as he continues to play like one of the better two-way threats in the league.
"I think it's just the smoothness in his game, there's no indecision. When he's open he's just rising up and shooting it, no hesitation. He's aggressive defensively. He's just got a very quiet confidence about him and it's been fun to see it blossom here over the last week."

Wiggins sat out Tuesday night's win over the San Antonio Spurs but is expected to return to the floor on Thursday against the Sacramento Kings at Chase Center.
