Andre Iguodala called out by Grizzlies' Dillon Brooks for trade demand

Andre Iguodala technically is a member of the Memphis Grizzlies, but he has no intention of playing a game for them this season.

That fact isn't sitting well with some players on the Grizzlies.

After Memphis beat the Detroit Pistons on Monday night, guard Dillon Brooks was asked about the constant trade rumors surrounding Iguodala.

Grizzlies star rookie Ja Morant added this:

Ever since the Warriors traded Iguodala to the Grizzlies in the offseason, he has made it clear that he doesn't want to play for Memphis and has asked to be bought out of his contract or to be traded to a contender.

On Monday, several new rumors surfaced regarding Iguodala's status with the Grizzlies.

The New York Times' Marc Stein first reported that Memphis is "adamant that it will not buy [Iguodala] out if a trade fails to materialize."

Then, later in the day, The Athletic's David Aldridge reported, citing league sources, that Iguodala is prepared to sit out the entire season if the Grizzlies don't trade him to "one of the agreed-upon teams he designated."

With the NBA trade deadline set for Thursday, this standoff appears to be coming down to the wire.

While we don't know if or where Iguodala will play this season, we are certain of one thing: The 2015 NBA Finals MVP won't be playing in Memphis, not after Brooks' comments.
