The Sharks' first-round playoff series with the Vegas Golden Knights ended Tuesday, but the Twitter haymakers did not.

The Golden Knights, of course, allowed four goals in three minutes on a five-minute major penalty, blowing a three-goal lead in a 5-4 overtime loss to the Sharks in Game 7 of their first-round series. Brenden Dillon's double minor Friday wasn't quite as contentious as Cody Eakin's cross-checking major (and game misconduct) -- a call the NHL already has apologized to Vegas for getting wrong. But San Jose did something Vegas could not and didn't allow a goal on the extended penalty.

The Sharks' Twitter missive comes days after a series in which players -- and coaches -- talked plenty of trash. So, while the Golden Knights' season is over, this rivalry sure seems like it's just heating up.
