Sharks, NBC Sports California reveal 2021-22 TV coverage plans

SAN JOSE, CA (Oct. 12, 2021) – The San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) today announced their complete broadcast schedule for the 2021-22 NHL season, which can be found here

For the second consecutive season, all regular season and playoff games will be carried live on the Sharks Audio Network. The Sharks Audio Network provides an unmatched resource for consistent and unique Sharks and Barracuda-related audio programming, content and game broadcasts. The 24-hour, seven days a week audio feed is available via the Sharks+SAP Center App presented by Western Digital, and online at sjsharks.com/listen.

Long-time play-by-play announcer Dan Rusanowsky (@Dan Rusanowsky) returns for his 31st season behind the microphone to call the play-by-play action. This season, Rusanowksy will be joined by Scott Hannan and long-time fan favorite Drew Remenda, who returns to the Sharks broadcast team primarily for road games. Additionally, Bret Hedican (@BretHedican) and Sharks alumni Mark Smith will serve as radio color analyst for select games.

Remenda will also be prominently featured on the Sharks Audio Network, with a new 30-minute show every two weeks, featuring Sharks and NHL hockey talk, along with special guests. Randy Hahn (@sharkvoice) and Hedican will also be contributors to the network.

In addition, Ted Ramey (@TedRameyMedia), who has served as the host of “Morning Tide” for the last three seasons, will return as a major contributor to Sharks Audio Network programming. "Morning Tide" will continue to be heard the morning after every Sharks game this season, making it the only Sharks-focused talk program available to Sharks fans.

On the television side, NBC Sports California (@NBCSSharks) will carry 74 of the team’s 82 regular season games. Each of those telecasts will be streamed live on the MyTeams app and NBCSportsCalifornia.com, including live pregame and postgame coverage.

Eight-time Regional Emmy Award winning play-by-play announcer Hahn once again will call all the action for Sharks television broadcasts on NBCSCA. He will partner primarily with Hedican, who returns for his eighth season as an analyst on the Sharks broadcast team. Remenda will also serve as color analyst for select television games.

Sharks Pregame Live features host and 13-time regional Emmy Award winner Brazil with expert analysis from former Sharks center and 13-year NHL veteran Curtis Brown (@DocBrown37) and Remenda. Smith and fellow Sharks alumnus Dan Boyle are also slated to make select appearances on the program.

Immediately following Sharks games on NBC Sports California, Sharks Postgame Live will provide in-depth game analysis, complete game highlights, a live look at Boughner’s press conference, player reactions, and a preview of the next game.
