Mario Ferraro wants to be with the San Jose Sharks for a long time.
The third-year alternate captain, a pending RFA, made that clear last Saturday in his exit interview.

Besides his new contract, Mario Ferraro also talked about Brent Burns’ impact on him and the Sharks, and wanting to be more vocal in the locker room.
Mario Ferraro, on if he’d prefer a long-term deal over a bridge deal with the Sharks:
I’d love to be here for a long time. We have goals, I have individual goals, we have team goals. Being a successful NHL hockey team and winning a championship, that’s something I dream of doing as a Shark.
Those are things that I really can’t control. I’m just taking it day by day with whatever happens, happens. But yeah, it would be nice.
