NFL rumors: Raiders interested in trade for Jets' Robby Anderson

It’s no secret that the Raiders have a severely limited receiving core.

When training camp began, people were buzzing about the prospect of Antonio Brown and Tyrell Williams opening up the Oakland offense.

Now that AB has behaved himself out of the league and Williams has been banged up, the Raiders are thin at a critical position.

The Raiders reportedly are one of the teams interested in New York Jets receiver Robby Anderson, The Athletic’s Connor Hughes reported Friday morning, citing a source.

Anderson has been reported to be on the trade block, with the Jets seemingly in the midst of another rebuilding year.

The 26-year-old has 17 catches for 266 yards in six games this season with New York.

Oakland did acquire wideout Zay Jones from the Bills for a fifth-round pick a few weeks ago, but Anderson would only bolster an offense that has been primarily reliant on the running game behind rookie tailback Josh Jacobs so far in 2019.
