After providing quarterback Derek Carr with two new offensive weapons with their first two picks in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft on Friday night, the Raiders turned their attention to the defensive side of the ball for their final selection, taking Clemson safety Tanner Muse at No. 100 overall.
Muse, 23, departs Clemson following his redshirt senior season, having been a three-year starter for the Tigers. He totaled 191 combined tackles, 3.5 sacks and seven interceptions over his collegiate career, and figures to provide depth behind free-agent signee Jeff Heath as a rookie.

Listed at 6-foot-2 and 227 pounds, Muse offers plenty of size, but he might not have the speed to stick at safety. There's always the possibility he could be converted to an outside linebacker.
Muse joins quite a collection of former Clemson stars on the Raiders, including Clelin Ferrell, Hunter Renfrow and Travon Mullen.
Earlier in the third round, the Raiders selected receivers Lynn Bowden and Bryan Edwards with back-to-back picks.
