Where Fox, Kings stars rank on The Ringer's NBA Top 100 list

The Kings lost 126-113 to the Bucks on Wednesday, but De’Aaron Fox dished out two dimes to pass Mitch Richmond for second place all time in assists for Sacramento.

The Kings' stars are getting the recognition they deserve.

In The Ringers' "Top 100 Players in the NBA" list, De'Aaron Fox, Domantas Sabonis and Kevin Huerter all made the cut as decided by a panel of four writers.

At No. 28 is Fox, ahead of players like Kawhi Leonard (30), Bam Adebayo (32) and Draymond Green (33).

Michael Pina wrote that Fox's inability to hit 3-pointers consistently in the past has hampered him. However, when the 25-year-old did find his rhythm from beyond the arc early in the 2022-23 NBA season, that propelled the Kings to a historically efficient offense.

Although Fox has seen his numbers decrease across the board as a result of a foot injury, if he is able to regain some semblance of his early-season form, the Kings star could nab his first All-Star selection.

Nine spots after Fox is Sabonis at No. 37.

An elite screen setter, rebounder and passer -- for his size at least -- the 7-foot-1 Sabonis is an integral part of the Kings' early season success.

A double-double and arguably a triple-double threat every night, Sabonis' ability to score in the paint and the 3-point line gives the Kings the perfect complementary piece to Fox.

With how well the tandem has played, J. Kyle Mann believes that Sacramento might have found the key to ending its playoff drought.

Finally, coming in at No. 78 is Huerter.

Perhaps the Kings' most prolific shooter, Huerter's ability to hit shots from beyond the arc unlocks a new dimension to Sacramento's offense. While he's not the best defensive player, his offensive upside is too much to overlook.

Mann notes that playing alongside Sabonis and Fox could help unlock Huerter's full potential in the NBA.

So far this season, the Kings have pleasantly surprised those around the league with their style of play and renewed defensive focus.

If Fox, Sabonis and Huerter can get back to their level of play from earlier this season, Kings fans can expect the beam to be lit up even more and for Sacramento to get the recognition it deserves.
