The Kings selected Utah State center Neemias Queta with the No. 39 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft on Thursday night.
Queta, 22, hails from Portugal and spent three seasons patrolling the paint for Utah State, starting 84 of the 86 games he appeared in.
This past season, Queta averaged 14.9 points, 10.1 rebounds, 3.3 blocks and 2.7 assists in 30.0 minutes over 29 games, earning Mountain West Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year honors as a junior.

Listed at 245 pounds, Queta is extremely athletic for his size and has a lot of bounce in his game.
After drafting guard Davion Mitchell with the No. 9 overall pick, the Kings added much-needed size to the roster.
With the uncertain futures of Richaun Holmes and Marvin Bagley in Sacramento, Queta could find himself playing big minutes as a rookie and could develop into a fan-favorite, based on the highlights of his dunks and blocks while at Utah State.
