Watch Sabonis' Hulk-like reaction after teammate avenges block

Athletes are always told to never celebrate too early. Miralem Halilović seemed to have forgotten that after blocking Kings center Domantas Sabonis during Bosnia's matchup against Lithuania in the FIBA EuroBasket qualifying round on Wednesday.

Waiting on the baseline, Sabonis received a pass from Jonas Valančiūnas and went up to slam it in. To Halilović's credit, he recovered in time to meet Sabonis at the apex and blocked his shot clean.

Halilović stared down and screamed at Sabonis while the ball careened to Lithuania's Arnas Butkevičius.

Butkevičius then exploded over Halilović for a massive poster, leading both Butkevičius and Sabonis to stare down and scream at Halilović as the trio ran back to the other side of the court.

It appears that Halilović was a good sport about getting dunked on as cameras caught him smiling as he ran back on offense.

In the end, Lithuania's 87-70 win helped them avoid elimination. They will face Spain in the Round of 16.

With Sabonis getting proper conditioning in the offseason and De'Aaron Fox cutting his honeymoon short to work on his game, it looks like Kings fans have a lot to be excited about heading into the 2022-23 NBA season.

Regardless of how the season goes, it would behoove fans and players always to remember not to don't celebrate too early.
