In the fourth quarter of the Kings-Mavericks summer league game, Chimezie Metu took exception to a hard foul by Eugene Omoruyi. Metu was ejected from the game for throwing a forearm at Omoruyi.

Whether it's in Las Vegas at Summer League or in the NBA Finals, the NBA has a pretty basic policy -- throw a punch and you earn a suspension.

Kings big man Chimezie Metu broke the golden rule in the Kings' 86-70 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday. After a hard foul by Eugene Omoruyi, Metu got off the floor and went right at the Mavs forward.

Metu connected with either his first or forearm to the left side of Omoruyi's head, before the two players could be separated.

On Monday afternoon, as expected, the NBA hit Metu with a one game suspension, which will cost the Kings their starting power forward for the summer league Finals against the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night.

Metu has played well during the summer league session, averaging 10 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and two steals in 25.1 minutes per game for coach Bobby Jackson's squad. He didn't shoot the ball particularly well, but he's the most experienced player on the Kings' roster and his presence will be missed.
