PG13 believes Kings can give teams ‘rough night' this season

The Kings are getting the attention of the NBA's stars before the 2022-23 season.

During the Los Angeles Clippers' media day, star forward Paul George noted how challenging the Pacific Division will be this season.

"Obviously, the Warriors, No. 1. The best in the league, rightfully so, defending champions," George said. "The Lakers are the Lakers, they're going to be a challenge.

"[Sacramento] is a young up-and-coming team that can give you a rough night."

George added by saying that every team in the West will be difficult in some way, from when the Clippers play a certain team -- on a back-to-back or otherwise -- to how the opposing team responds.

"Everyone is going to be a challenge," George concluded.

For George to recognize that this young Sacramento squad can be a problem this season should be a good sign for Kings fans.

From an impressive offseason that has an anonymous Western Conference assistant coach saying Sacramento has a shot at making the playoffs to pundits claiming that Keegan Murray, who was drafted No.4 overall in the 2022 NBA Draft, will win Rookie of the Year. As a result, it seems as if the perception of the Kings is changing.

With some teams in the Western Conference signaling their intent to tank and draft 7-foot-5 prospect Victor Wembanyama, now is the best time for the Kings to strike for a playoff spot

Should the Kings start the season strong, George won't be the last star to notice Sacramento's talent.
