Former Kings top draft pick Fredette scores 73 points for Shanghai Sharks

Former Kings No. 10 overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, Jimmer Fredette, is back to making buckets.

The sharp-shooter continued his dominance in the Chinese Basketball Association with 73 points Sunday night in the Shanghai Sharks' 135-132 double-overtime loss to the Zhejiang Lions.

Fredette took 49 shots on the night, making 25 of them, and also drained 10 shots from beyond the arc. At the charity strike he went a perfect 13-of-13.

The 73-point night is the fourth-highest scoring game in CBA history.

Fredette, 27, is taking the league by storm. In 36 games played, he is averaging 36.3 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game. And he's connecting on 40.5 percent of his 3-point attempts.

Sacramento traded Fredette after 41 games in his third season with the Kings where he only averaged 7.0 points points while playing 15.0 minutes per game.

Over five NBA seasons between four teams, Fredette only averaged 6.0 points per contest.
