Exactly one month after making it clear just how much he hated Malik Monk’s Band-Aid look and the iconic movement it provoked in Sacramento, Kings star guard De’Aaron Fox now could be sporting one of his own.
Fox got hit near his eye in the Kings’ down-to-the-wire 124-123 win over the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday, and even though he was bleeding, no foul was called.
After the win, Fox wanted to remind Monk that if -- if -- he does decide to wear a Band-Aid, it will be because he had to get stitches, not because he sustained a scratch like Monk did earlier this season.

Fox required two stitches for the cut near his left eye but apparently remained determined to not join the Band-Aid gang.
However, his wife Reece might say otherwise. She said he will be wearing a Band-Aid for five days.
The Band-Aid movement in the 916 initially started when Monk started wearing a bandage like rapper Nelly after getting scratched and cut under his right eye in the Kings' 116-113 loss to the Warriors on Nov. 7.
While Monk sported the Band-Aid, the Kings saw plenty of success, including a historic seven-game winning streak, and he continued to wear the Band-Aid, even after his scratch was healed.

Fox wasn't a fan, even though the Kings were playing well and fans bought in.
"I hate the Band-Aid. We're not winning because of the Band-Aid," Fox humorously told reporters last month (h/t FOX40 News' Sean Cunningham). "His cut is healed. He's perfectly fine. But he's going to keep wearing the Band-Aid."

The Kings take on the Detroit Pistons on Friday for the final game of their six-game road trip. If Fox does indeed wear a Band-Aid, Kings fans likely won't let him take it off if Sacramento wins.
