San Francisco agreed to a massive 13-year, $350 million contract with Correa on Tuesday night, handing the Giants the superstar they've been chasing for years. And not just any superstar, but one who is loathed by fans who dawn Dodger blue.

The former Houston Astros shortstop was instrumental in taking down Los Angeles in the 2017 World Series, and in the minds of Dodger fans, stealing a championship after Houston later was caught cheating in a massive sign-stealing scandal that rocked the baseball world.
So yeah, the Giants' newest addition is not a popular guy in Southern California.
When Correa's market began to heat up last week, The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal reported that one reason Los Angeles did not pursue the star shortstop in free agency was because of how the fanbase might react to the move given Correa's history with the Dodgers.
To say there is bad blood between Correa and Dodgers fans would be an understatement.

After a 107-win Giants team stole an NL West division crown from the Dodgers in 2021, the rivalry was extremely lopsided in 2022, with Los Angeles winning 15 of the 19 total matchups between the two teams.
