Madison Bumgarner pitched 11 great years with the Giants. While fans won’t be able to attend his return to Oracle Park with the Diamondbacks, his legacy remains intact in the Bay Area.
Madison Bumgarner took the mound at Oracle Park as a visiting player for the first time Saturday night and got off to a nice start, sending the Giants down in order in the first inning on only seven pitches.
His second inning didn't go nearly as well.
Evan Longoria led off the second, and on the third pitch of his at-bat, took Bumgarner deep to the left-field bleachers to tie the game, 1-1.

Darin Ruf followed him and gave the Giants the lead with a 453-foot blast to center.

It was the first time the Giants have hit back-to-back home runs this season.

As weird as it is to see Bumgarner in an Arizona Diamondbacks uniform, it's probably equally odd -- and frustrating -- for him to see the place he long called home suddenly become a hitter's park.
