On the latest episode of Balk Talk, Jessica Kleinschmidt asks Jerry Hairston Jr. about the time Tim Lincecum struck him out for his 1,000th career strikeout.

Did you know that Tim Lincecum's dog is named Cy? As in, Cy Young?

Well, Sue S. does, and it led to a memorable encounter for the San Francisco SPCA volunteer.

A few weeks ago, Sue was checking in clients and their pets for their respective appointments at the SF SPCA. And who other than Lincecum came walking through the door...

But Sue didn't recognize the three-time World Series champ. Rather, it was his rescue dog's name that helped her put two and two together.

Props to Sue for knowing that very useful nugget of Giants trivia -- and for helping Cy get the medication he needed.
