What do Klay Thompson and Buster Posey have in common?
Aside from being three-time champions in their respective sports and two of the most beloved athletes in the Bay Area, one could say Thompson and Posey are similar in their demeanors. They're all about the game, and unlikely to be distracted by much else.
How do they manage this? By avoiding the temptation altogether.

Thompson uses an old-fashioned flip phone, and Posey does, too.
In a feature by the Bay Area News Group's Evan Webeck, the Giants' catcher revealed he intentionally switched from a more modern cell phone back to a flip phone in order to significantly limit the ways in which he could be distracted by his mobile device, an affliction he sought to avoid after seeing some of his younger teammates fall victim to theirs.
The switch didn't come without drawbacks, however.
"I heard him say that he hated it because when he has to send a text, it’s like so archaic, he has to press the button like four times to type one letter," Evan Longoria said of Posey.

Of all the major sports, it's easy to understand why a baseball player would resist the advancements of technology. So, no, don't expect Posey to be putting out any TikTok videos any time soon.
