SAN FRANCISCO -- The Giants haven't had the services of Buster Posey since June 1, but they should get him back next week.
The catcher, who was placed on the injured list with a strained right hamstring on Thursday, is eligible to be activated Wednesday, and manager Bruce Bochy doesn't expect any delays.
"He's doing really well," Bochy said. "It's all going as well as it could. Look like Wednesday when he can come off, he should be ready."

Posey originally suffered the hamstring injury on June 1 in Baltimore. The Giants had hoped Posey could avoid going on the injured list, but that wasn't the case.
In 47 games this season, Posey is slashing .257/.321/.408 with 14 doubles, three homers and 18 RBI.

In Posey's absence, Stephen Vogt and Aramis Garcia are a combined 4-for-17 in five games.
