A night after a drama-fill extra-innings win, the Giants took an easier route to a 2-0 victory over the Atlanta Braves on Saturday night at Oracle Park.
Catcher Curt Casali accounted for the only two runs of the game, driving in LaMonte Wade Jr. and Brandon Crawford with a single to right field off Braves starter Charlie Morton in the fourth inning.

Alex Wood was activated off the COVID-19 Injured List prior to the game, and pitched three scoreless innings in his first appearance since Aug. 26. He didn't allow a hit and issue no walks while striking out four. The lefty threw 37 pitches in the outing.
Six Giants relievers followed Wood and held the Braves down, helping the Giants win their second straight game. Dominic Leone gave up a single in the ninth, but induced a double play to end the game and pick up his second save of the season.
Steven Duggar kept the Braves off the board in the fourth inning with an incredible effort on a ball hit by Jorge Soler. The center fielder didn't make the catch, but he kept it from being a home run. Soler had to settle for a double, and despite Freddie Freeman singling in the next at-bat, Zack Littell struck out the next three batters to strand Soler and Freeman.
The win, their 97th of the season, allowed the Giants to preserve their two-game lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NL West with 13 games remaining in the regular season.
