For the Sacramento River Cats' season finale against the Las Vegas Aviators on Wednesday, a special guest threw out the first pitch: Giants legend and home run king Barry Bonds.
Sacramento Kings owner Vivek Ranadivé was behind the plate and caught Bonds' first pitch.

SIGN UP HERE What's more, following his trip to the River Cats, Bonds joined Ranadivé and visited the Kings during training camp, which left Kings guard Malik Monk "starstruck."
Bonds also addressed the Kings at practice.
Bonds and Ranadivé were at the River Cats' season finale to promote the recently-announced partnership between the Kings and River Cats.
In August, the Kings became the majority owner of the River Cats, formally bringing the latter's business operations under the former's umbrella. That said, the River Cats will remain the Triple-A affiliate of the Giants.

Both the Kings and River Cats have prioritized giving back to the community in some way, with the River Cats making over baseball and softball fields while the Kings have allocated resources to address social injustice.

Giants fans are hopeful that Bonds' pull is enough to lure another prolific slugger to San Francisco, while Kings fans are hoping having the seven-time NL MVP around can bring about a winning foundation.
Despite retiring over a decade ago, Bonds' enormous presence is always felt throughout Northern California and beyond.
